When thinking of a diet food, most people probably don’t picture a juicy, succulent meatball. As a follower of the 60 Minute Diet, you don’t have to give up this delicious Italian staple.
In fact, by keeping properly portioned sizes of no more than 100 calories you can enjoy all your favorite foods!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground turkey (I use white meat only, less fat)
- ½ c breadcrumbs
- ¼ c parmesan cheese (use reduced fat to keep calories down)
- 1/8-1/4c egg beaters
- 1 tsp chopped garlic
- Italian spices, salt & pepper to taste
- 1 qt. Mariniara sauce (I use Mario’s Via Abruzzi)
Cooking Directions
Mix all ingredients well. Form into 1 ½” balls and lightly brown in a skillet w/1 tbsp olive oil. Put into a saucepan w/ marinara sauce and simmer for 45 minutes.
